Achieving Performance

  • To manage the i4u system
  • Assess the business from a daily perspective (create a prioritised “to do list”)
  • Examine daily leads and talk through with individual Sales Consultants
  • Carries out daily one to ones with each Sales Consultant
  • Stacks and reviews all New and Used car deals
  • Maximise F and I profit through individual deals
  • Maximise GAP, Supaguard, Service Plan opportunities
  • Second faces all customers
  • Reviews performance with Centre Manager at the end of the day

Maintaining Standards

  • To maintain required standards of health and safety and FSA requirements
  • To walk the pitch daily taking remedial action where required

Stock Control / Ordering

  • To maintain and update the Used vehicle website, photos and pricing.
  • To manage the Customer Car & Demonstrator fleet.
  • Checks vehicle orders for accuracy and ensures the right information is transmitted to the manufacturer
  • Disposes of trade vehicles as dictated by Group Policy
  • Reviews stock with other IRG sites


  • Manage and monitor Departmental costs

Department Management

  • Responds to information requests from Centre Manager/ Managing Director
  • Run daily morning Sales meetings with team, using agreed agenda.

Reporting / Communications

  • Report Sales performance data to IRG Head Office via email etc
  • Relay manufacturer information to the Sales team

Customer Relations / Business Awareness

  • To deal with “difficult” sales situations
  • Seeing customers on handover
  • Deal with customer complaints
  • MonitorCVS scores and take appropriate actions


  • To supply information as required to IRG Marketing Department


  • Look at presentation of the business and improve where required
  • Examine leads on i4u and discuss with Sales Consultants
  • Examine stock control and purchases stock, submit Stock requests.
  • Chases Vehicle debtors as identified by Accounts Department
  • Examine position in relation to budget
  • Carry out review meeting with Sales and Parts in order to resolve any issues
  • Train Sales Consultants in all aspects of their role.
  • Carry out Monthly appraisals with Sales team and copy to Centre Manager
  • Calculate commissions
  • Review performance with Centre Manager for current month and next
  • Attend Accounts review
  • Recruit staff
